This modeller is impossible to use. Why use pink? You can’t see the black cursor against it.
Agree – the contribution modeller is fine but the pension modeller keeps throwing me out when I get to the number of years post 2007
I’ve asked for this to be looked at so that it’s clearer.
You must first select which section of TPS you are in – this will either be pre-2007 or post-2007. You then input all of your years’ service within the appropriate box – ie either under the pre-2007 or post-2007 boxes – these boxes refer to scheme section NOT calendar years. The default is set to pre-2007, so you’ll need to change the ‘which section’ box to be able to make the relevant calculations if you’re in the post-2007 section of TPS. I hope this makes sense!
Same here. It will let me enter my pre2007 years, but not those after
If I type delete or backspace it throws me out
I’m told this is probably an issue with an Internet Explorer shortcut which is set to jump back a page when the cursor isn’t in an input field – make sure your cursor is always in the box if you need to delete!
I agree. Very frustrating. Been thrown out of it 3 times and have given up!

Still doesnt work in Opera or Chrome
A poorly constructed bit of software – that appears not to have been tested. If one of my students produced this I would ask them to do it again
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is rediculous!
Scream………won’t accept my final salary….given up now!!!
Please make sure you do not use any punctuation, e.g. £ signs or commas, when inputting your salary.
Teribble no help will not accept my final salary , sort this out please
See reply to Lynn above – use no punctuation.
Thanks for all of the feedback, and apologies for those of you who had problems. The modeller has now been amended as a result. Please let us know if problems continue.
Your pension is under attack: the government wants to change the Teachers' Pension Scheme in a way which will massively reduce the value of your pension in retirement or if you leave education.
UCU members in TPS in England and Wales are being called to take further strike action alongside PCS and parts of the Unite on 10 May.
Members not directly involved ion the action are asked to please show solidarity with colleagues by attending any local rallies or events if you can.
